Specialist, Government Relations
Mississauga, ON – The Government Relations (GR) Specialist provides specialized support to the GR team’s municipal government outreach and where required, the Provincial and Federal governments. Working closely with the Director of Government Relations and broader team, the GR Specialist is responsible for carrying out many aspects of the department’s functions including research and analysis, relationship building, policy monitoring and management of meetings with elected officials and other key stakeholders. The GR Specialist assists with the resolving of community/customer issues received via offices of elected officials (mainly at the municipal level) as well as those directed to members of the executive team. The successful candidate will represent Alectra at government and industry functions professionally and must be willing to travel often (by car) to attend meetings and provide support throughout Alectra’s entire service territory.
