Cold Lake, AB – The City of Cold Lake is seeking a qualified individual to fill the permanent, full-time position of Safety Advisor with the Department of Corporate Services. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Safety Advisor is responsible for providing a wide variety of service levels within the Human Resources department by conducting research, completing projects, & providing support concerning labour relations and safety issues to all staff members. The position is also responsible for updating the safety program to adhere to changing legislation in order to maintain COR; this includes mentoring and training staff members in conducting investigations and monitoring trends related to safety incidents. The Safety Advisor responds to all employee and contractor inquiries regarding safety issues for the City in a fair, consistent, professional, and timely manner.
